Apocalypse

If you ever saw the original Planet of the Apes movies, well, during my time in the dream space last night, a scene that was similar to the one where the Astronauts Taylor, and Brent were fighting the apes in the church where the mutants were worshiping a nuclear ballistic missile as a god was constructed by my subconscious.

Well, the scene that my subconscious constructed was when Taylor activated the missile before he died and the bomb exploded. After the flash of light and seeing the mushroom cloud. The next scene I saw was my block, post apocalypse.

There were a lot of people seeking refuge, but no place to go. I was with my older brother and some friends from high school. We decided to go to a store to get some supplies before they run out.

The store looked like a department store, we had shopping carts, and we were filling them up with survival items, like food, water, batteries, etc. I also saw that there were some clothing that were put into the shopping cart.

We were standing in line to pay for the items, I decided to get some sweets, I left my cart with my brother and friends to go and get some sweets.

I saw a shelf that had Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate, a grabbed a couple, I saw sugar coated sweet and sour candy, I grabbed a few of those. I grabbed a few bars of Snickers, and Twix. When I got back to the line, I saw that my brother and friends were gone and no where to be found.

I went outside, and they still could not be found. It’s a lucky thing that I had a bag with me. I put the sweets in the bag and left the department store. I was pissed off that my brother and friends just upped and left, and they didn’t even say anything.

I was walking back to my building, when I got back to my building, I saw that my cell phone was still working, so I called my brother. But as I was making the call, there was a distraction that made me put my cell phone back into my pocket.

A truck was coming down the street offering rides to sanctuary, a crowd of people were converging around the truck, there were too many people around for my taste. I walked further down the road; I came across another truck.

Jamaican music was being blurted out the speakers, but the truck was broken down. While I was at the truck I tried calling my brother again but all I got was his voice mail. I left a message scolding him for leaving me behind without saying where him and the others went.

I decided to help fix the truck; it wasn’t hard to get it started. Once I got it started, I hopped on the truck with some other passengers. The driver said that it was also going to sanctuary.

While the truck was moving, I got on my cell phone again, and this time my brother answered the call, and explained that he and the rest had to move quickly to catch the bus to sanctuary. They took my cart because they knew that I would find my way there by myself. But still, they could have called and left a message, but they did not.

The scene turned again; this time it resembled the scene of the last episode of that show “Lioness.” Now it was when the sniper was in an isolated area in the middle eastern desert picking off the enemy. Only, the people that the sniper was supposed to protect was afraid of him.

The sniper himself was mentally ill, he was fulfilling his mission, but didn’t know when to quit. He rebuffed attempts to stop him, he refused to put down his rifle and kept on picking off people. Now who was and who wasn’t the enemy was now blurred.

The military sent other snipers to stop him, but those snipers did not want to kill him, they got closed to him, so that someone can physically restrain him.

After various attempts, he was physically restrained and taken to a safe house. But somehow, he escaped the safe house and went to the same position and started to pick off people and killing them again.

The army had to go after him again, this time when he was captured, he was held down and give an injection… he was immobilized and placed in a cell in a psychiatric hospital.

Well, I suppose that there must have been two dreams, because I do not see a connection between them. Except for an atmosphere of desolate areas of a post apocalypse environment, otherwise.
