REM-Dreamer

Not too long ago True_George was looking at a dream group, a place where people share their dream experience. When someone mentioned that they were using  a device called “REM Dreamer.”

The device itself is a sleep mask, with an electronic component that detects when you’re in the rapid eye movement (REM) state, which indicates that you’re having a dream. Upon detection of a dream an inferred detector will prompt an LED to flash at the side of the electronic component. The flashing LED is a signal to your brain that tells you that you are in a dream.

According to what someone wrote on that dream group; that the flashing LED appeared in the background of the dream, allowing them to recognize that they are in a dream.

Well, curiosity got the better of True_George and decided to go out and get a REM dreamer to see how well  it would work.

Well, True_George followed the instructions and when the mask was put on, it did function as it should. Meaning that the device detected when True_George fell into REM state.

What was surprising to True_George is that it didn’t take long before the dream state took place.

Despite that True_George did not get any benefit from the mask, because the LED lights appeared to be too bright. When it started to flash, it took True_George right out of the dream state, into being wide awake. It was like someone walked up and put a high beam light in front of your eyes.

True George can’t sleep when there is light shined directly in his eyes. In this case the flashing LED. Well according to what others say, the device worked well with them, but not with True_George.

Now, True_George is hearing that the manufacturer of the REM Dreamer has discontinued making them. Because they have an improved version of the product. The new version is called “Smart lucider.”

More or less it does the same thing as the REM Dreamer, but it is a smaller and lighter device. I don’t think True_George will be trying it out, it may give the same result. But if you want to check it out click here.
