Fani Willis Affair: Verdict
The verdict is in, whether Fani Willis and her office can remain on the racketeering case persecuting allegations against former President Donald Trump.
The verdict was that Fani Willis can stay as long as the Special Persecutor Nathan Wade steps down. Or, if Nathan Wade remains on the case Fani Willis and her entire office will be dismissed.
So, who are the winners? It all depends on how you see things.
Fani Willis supporters may think it is a victory because she was not totally dismissed from being the lead persecutor.
As of now, her boyfriend, or friend with benefits Nathan Wade as bitten the bullet and stepped aside. So, Fani will still be the persecutor.
If you look at it from Donald Trump’s point of view, there was a two month delay until the end of this hearing whether to dismiss Fani Willis.
The Judge presiding over the hearing has dismissed six of the charges against Donald Trump and his co-defendants. The Persecutor may refile the charges if the Persecutors decide to do so. But it would mean further delays in bringing the case to court.
Now that Nathan Wade is no longer in the picture, Fani Willis will need to look for another Special Persecutor. When she finds someone willing to serve as the Special Persecutor, that person will need to prepare before he can take the case to trial.
All of this is going to take time. There are doubts that everything will be ready for trial before the Presidential elections. If Trump is the winner and becomes the next President of the United States, they may as well drop the charges.
