This week, another one bites the dust, this time it is the Football star, turned ESPN sportscaster and podcaster, Shannon Sharpe.   

Well, Shannon Sharp is being sued for 50 million dollars, by a “Fans only” figure, Gabriella Zuniga. This “Fans Only” model is alleging that Shannon Sharpe sexual assaulted her. It is ironic that the timing of this allegation comes of the heels of Shannon Sharp getting ready to sign a 100-million-dollar contract deal for distribution rights of his podcast program, “Club Sha Sha,” and “Night Cap,” which he cohosts with another former Football player Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson.

Apparently, Gabriella and Shannon have had an ongoing sexual relationship for the past two years, even though there is a 30-year age gap between them. Presently Gabriella is 20 years old and Shannon is 56 years old. Which means that their affair started when Gabriella was 18 years old.

Gabriella has asserted that Shannon became abusive and have taken videos of their sexual encounters without her permission. Shannon has denied any wrong doing, and asserts that whatever happened in the relationship was consensual.

Gabriella is represented by attorney Tony Buzbee and Micah Nash. Yes, Buzbee, that shady Lawyer who is representing multiple accusers against Sean “P. Diddy” Combs. Many of those accusations are questionable.

Recently, Buzbee has represented someone who made accusation against the rap Mongol Sean “Jay Z” Carter. The accusation was proven to be false, and in turn Jay Z has filed a law suit against Buzbee for defamation.

Buzbee has released recordings of a phone conversation between Gabriella and Shannon where it was alleged that Shannon made threats to assault Gabriella. But we cannot judge if what was heard on that released recording if the threat was genuine because it is a small piece of a larger conversation. Plus, the nature of the relationship between Gabriella and Shannon involved choking, verbal abuse, role playing and other aspects of “Bonding, Discipline, Dominance and Submission (BDSM).”   

The public has learned that before the allegations were released to the press, Shannon and Gabriella were in negotiations to settle the matter. Shannon offered a sum of 10 million dollars to keep things quiet. Gabriella rejected the offer, now they will go before a court of law.   

Shannon as put out a statement that he will be transparent and defend himself, that the allegations against him amounts to nothing but a shake down orchestrated by Tony Buzbee, who has a habit of targeting black men.

Well, maybe there is merit to what he is saying, maybe not, because another woman who Shannon used to date, has come out of the wood work and filed another 50-million-dollar lawsuit against him. This woman is alleging that Shannon raped her and made it so that other man would not want her. Is this the start of a potential money grab?

Former partners now rubbing their hands to make a quick buck. If he left a partner disgruntled it is their time to seek revenge. Making any sort of allegations to get something because Shannon may choose to settle rather than making his encounters public.  

We’ll see how this will play out.
