The Offer

I retired for the night pretty late because I was working on cleaning out my big refrigerator in my basement. It was taking more time than I anticipated. The previous homeowners left the fridge looking nasty. I can’t fantom how they had food in the fridge the way it was. Uncleaned, and mold. Slowly and surely, I’ve cleaned and disinfected the components.

While cleaning the fridge, I was listening to the “Horrorble podcast;” Hosted by Askia “The Boogeyman” Booker, this show dives into the real, raw, and unexpected stories of fear—from industry insiders to everyday people with terrifying tales.

The podcast had some interesting people telling of their paranormal experiences. I will give a rundown on this in a future post. The point I’m making here is to ponder whether listening to people talk about their real-life paranormal experiences was a factor in the night’s dream experience.

As I closed my eyes, relaxing entering the dream space, I could see what resembled a drum and I could see drumsticks striking the drum. I found it to be strange that a drum floating with drum sticks playing the drum without a drummer.

Then a face of a man replaced the image of the drum. The man looked like the face of either a Viking with a goatee or the artist image of Jesus Christ what we see in paintings.

When the face appeared, he had his arm stretched out and he had what appeared to be a purplish locket in his hand, like he was giving me the locket. All I had to do was to take what he was giving me.

But the appearance of the face was kind of startling, the face appeared unlike an image that appears in dreams. The appearance was like he was a real life figure standing in front of me, except for there was no body, just a head, with is arm outstretched offering me a locket.

Since I was startled, I did not take the locket, I opened my eyes to see if anyone was in the room, but there was no one. When I closed my eyes again, the image was gone.

I couldn’t help but to recognize that I’ve seen that face before. I know that same man’s face appeared on a previous dream with similar connotations.

  1. That would have made for a very interesting dream. I sometimes think that something I’ve dreamed, or someone I’ve dreamed about, has come from a previous dream I’ve had but can never pin it down…
