J.Y Provocative Question#29: Which celebrity do you think should be elected US President in 2024? 

It is not unheard of that occasionally some sort of entertainment celebrity decides to become a candidate for the highest office in the nation. Most recently Dywane “the Rock” Johnson, revealed that he was approached by members of the Republican and Democratic parties and asked if he’d like to run to be a resident of the White House.

O.K, True_george can concede that a candidate who is popular will get votes, and that someone with a well know name will get votes not because of what the person stands for, and what they know, but because a voter loved that person’s character in their last movie.

It is sad that many voters don’t vote for a candidate because that candidate is the best person for the job. If that candidate has a larger-than-life personality or was an entertainment or sports figure then the politician has a formable foe as far as getting the vote is concerned.

As far as this week’s provocative question, it isn’t very thought provoking. True_George says that entertainment celebrities should stay in their lane. Which means that they should concentrate on their own profession and leave that politics to visionaries, activists, and those who aspire to make a difference without expecting anything in return. It’s not for those who sell their soul to the devil.

Then again, True_George can’t even say that those in Capital Hill are not living in a glass house, nowadays, every non-American group are the ones who are benefiting from American taxpayer’s dollars. It is only Americans who are not benefiting.

Hypothetically, Capitol Hill is one big circus, so if a celebrity have to be picked, I would give Bozo the Clown the nod to run for President, after all what is a circus (Capitol Hill) without a clown.
