I suppose having seen some cockroaches in the apartment and killing them may have inspired this dream. Its common for apartments in New York City to have roaches hidden in the walls that occasionally make their way into the open. It also tells me that I have to call in an exterminator.  

Anyway, the dream started when I saw images of an old friend that I had known from way back during my childhood years. She was visiting. She came into the apartment to stay during her visit to New York. But, she started to complain that there were bugs in the room.

When I looked I could see a lot of cockroaches crawling around, so I sprayed them killing them. But everywhere she went into the apartment there were cockroaches. It was a though the apartment was infested with them.

As she was laying on the couch, I could see that there was some cockroaches crawling on her leg. I got a small hand held vacuum and turned it on her which sucked up the roaches from her clothing.

I turned to my mother and told her that these roaches could not be in the apartment. I think that she brought the roaches with her when she came.

Now that it came time for the visitor to go back home to the United Kingdom (U.K), I decided to go with her since its been a while since I was in the U.K.

When we got to her house, and I was taken up to my room. I could see that they were having problems with cockroaches and bed bugs. My thoughts were that I should go and stay in a hotel instead.

I took my bag and went downstairs to tell my hosts that I will be going to stay at a hotel there are too many roaches in the house for my taste. But before I go I will help them to at least attempt to get a handle on the situation.

I had to show them that the roaches sometimes hide in plain sight. I uncovered the table cloth from the dining room table and showed them  a horde of roaches were underneath it.

We had to take the furniture into the garden and took the garden hose to wash down the furniture.

While hosing down the furniture it was cleaning out endless roaches. I told my hosts that eventually they will get rid of the roaches from the furniture washing them out. But they may have another problem of the furniture sustaining water damage rendering the piece of furniture useless.

I never really saw a any conclusion to this dream, just hordes of roaches being washed out from furniture. My bags were outside because I was going to a hotel and not staying in that roach infested house.
