Bag Snatch

During the past couple of days, true_George has been under the weather. It was not good that the doctor ordered that True_George take off from making the daily bread at the main gig has a managing government bureaucrat, and from the second gig being a counselor at the support house for the mentally ill.

This is unusual for True_George to take sick time from both gigs at one time. Hell, True_George has not taken this much sick days since his surgery back in 2006. No, worries on True_George’s side, with all that accumulated sick time, I can take off sick all year and still have an excess of three years’ worth of sick leave credits.

Well, hopefully this time off should take True_George out of the woods and back into the saddle of things when I do get back to the grind in the next couple of days.

The downside to being sick is that the connection between the mind and body is out of synch. For example, there were some dreams that took place. I had in my mind to record them, but due to the nature of the illness, when I sat down to write out the dream, I could not recall the dream.

This happened more then once, which is unusual for me, I tend to hold dream recall for at least two days, sometimes longer if it is a profound dream. I guess that this is a lesson, that if the body is not in good health, then the connection between the subconscious, and dream space are out of harmony. As, I heal from this illness, then we’ll see how things improve.

In the meanwhile, I did have this brief dream when I momentary entered the dream space while binge watching that science fiction show, “Babylon 5.”

It started out when I saw images of a friend of mine who lives in Virginia. Sure, I wanted her to be my girlfriend, but the closer I got to her, the more I realized that she is fucking nuts. A big turn off for me, who the hell wants to deal with a woman who does questionable things that she drives you crazy.

I saw her in the street, I don’t know why she didn’t say anything to me, so as I was walking past her, I greeted her. I asked her why didn’t she tell me that she is in town. But the funny thing is that when I was standing in front of her, she appeared to be small no taller than my waist.

She didn’t mention where she was staying, perhaps staying that she was in town only to shop, which was evident because she had two white shopping bags from a department store with her. Then she said she can’t talk long because she had to go somewhere.

She left and went to where she was going, and I went on to where I was going. But, when I looked back, I could see her double back to a building’s stoop and she picked up her clothes bag that she left while she was shopping.

Then she was walking with her bags to the subway, it looked like the Atlantic Ave hub, then I saw two women walk up and held her up taking her bags. I didn’t intervene; I just watched the mugging take place.

Not sure if I wanted to take any responsibility with her because it looked like she had her clothes bag because she is staying somewhere, and she did not tell me that she was in New York. Plus, I didn’t want the aggravation of dealing with her.

  1. Sorry to hear you’re not well – I’m pretty ill too for the second time in two months with my chest – it just keeps giving up altogether! I was trying to do puzzle books the other day and I was coughing so hard I couldn’t think or write so had to give up and do nothing!
