Getting started

So now that I’m realizing the idea of sharing the subjective experiences which opened the door to profound spiritual awareness. No, I’m not talking going to some church and catching the spirit. I’m talking self awareness that we as human beings have a dual existence. I can’t elaborate on this concept right now, as I progress in revealing what I have experienced then what I have stated would be apparent. Please have an open mind because we have been taught certain things about spirituality and when we experience or hear of an experience that clashes with what we were taught, then we tend to want to justify the learned beliefs.

Now I’m reviewing what I have written, I have written the material which spans from 1999-2006. The first stage to the spiritual awareness was lucid dream recall. My original intent to writing down the dreams was too track whether there was a connection as to what was going on in my daily life. The second intention was to take those dreams and see if i can create a short story based on my dreams. I have not put in thought or take action to do the latter.

So now I look at the file on my memory stick. I find that some content is missing. I begin to search my papers to find the missing content. I remember printing out the each content when I wrote it. I could not find the printed work. I looked at my old 3.5 floppy discs. But it was not saved on those either. Then it occurred to me I may have made a back up on a CD. So I search all my CD’s (good thing I never throw away saved computer data) and lord and behold I find it. All the original content from 1999-2002, over 100 pages of text. So I may have to condense a lot of written content.

  1. Hello True George,

I think that it was wise of you to remind readers to try to keep an open mind in your first paragraph.

It is good that you had backups of those dreams.

Did you ever get to record all of those dreams on your blog yet?

I assume that you have, but I just want to make sure.

    Thank you for sharing this,

    • No I did not put the majority of what is in those journals yet. It is three volumes from three different periods. Each one over 100 pages.
I took a couple and made a short story out of them.
Maybe I should put a dream category and start to post them on the blog. What took place then might not have anything to do what is happening in the present.
Do you think that I should put them on the blog anyway?

      • Hello True George,

Interesting, that should give you some things to blog about in the future, that are even better than Daily Prompts if you ask me.

I am biased on this topic but I think that adding a dream category to this blog would be a good idea, and I also think that slowly adding those dreams to this blog would be a good idea as well.

But like I said, I am biased on this topic because: I like to hear things about dreams/dreaming, other people’s dreams, and I like to hear other people’s thoughts and interpretations of my dreams. 😉

            • Hello. I decided to go with the idea. I’ll slowly publish the entire journal. With the exception of the ones I managed to turn into a fiction tale. However the dreams that took place in Iraq I may post in the OIF II cat rather then in the dream journal cat. I won’t say the month and date when the dreams took place and there is going to be some editing. Some of the original entry’s were crudely written, plus my writing and word selection has improved since then so I’m cleaning them up if it is necessary. The first entry is now up. Thanks again

              • Thank you for the update True George, that is good to hear, I also recommend adding the Categories widget to your blog so that people can see and look through your categories because there is currently no way to see the categories on your blog.
