Space Exploration

J Y Provocative Question # 39: What are your thoughts on space exploration? What is the significance of space exploration today?

When True_George thinks of space exploration, the first thing that popped into my head, was Captain Kirk’s voice saying, “space, the final frontier…” yes, indeed, space is the final frontier, and in the spirit of National Moon Day which commemorates the manned lunar landing that took place on July 20th, 1969. A great day to remember, but one that is marred by a lot of speculation.

Well, the common speculation of the moon landing itself was one of the biggest hoax pulled off by the U.S government, and one of the finest productions that was produced in Hollywood.

I shit you not, the conspiracy theorists are saying that the lunar landing never happened and that Hollywood studios were contracted to produce a fake moon landing production.

They point to certain things to prove their point. Things such as questioning how the astronaut’s shadow appeared on the lunar surface. That the shadows should appear parallel if the sun is the only source of light.

Another thing that they mention is that there are no stars showing in the lunar sky.  They argue that the appearance of stars should be apparent, just like we see them on earth.

For everything that is questioned there is an answer why things appear as they appear on the lunar surface. It doesn’t matter what is said, there is widespread belief that the moon landing is a hoax.

All in all it is said that there were five additional missions where the U.S touched down on the lunar surface and a total of six Astronauts walked on the surface. We don’t really hear much about those missions, and it doesn’t help the case that the United States have not returned to the moon’s surface in the last 50 years. In addition, no other nation as ever put a manned space craft on the moon.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has claimed that the data that was used to get the manned flight to the moon has been lost, when they accidentally erased it from a tape. Do they really think the public is that stupid.

The moon indeed has its secrets, True_George has spoken about it before. Just click here (secrets of the moon) and here to get an insight.

Now, True_George will now give you one up as far as space exploration is concerned, that the gov’t have been actively engaged in activity on the final frontier.

As we all know that a 5th branch of the US armed forces was created. The Space Force. It just verified that many as known all along, there is an existence of out of space programs and the need to have something in place to defend the earth.

One well known program was called Solar Warden click here to get an insight of this program.  There are other secret space programs that insiders are slowly revealing. In fact, some of those insiders has disclosed that when man landed on the moon, they found that there was someone else there and was told not to come back. It is the reason why there were no more manned missions to the moon. Anyway, the gov’t  vail over our eyes will be lifted soon enough.

Now private industry has their eyes on the final frontier. Commercial tourism into outer space is happening. Right now, the trips are only up to the earth’s lower orbit, and it is an expensive ride. Soon, when these trips become less expensive it will become more popular.

Since there is renewed interest in going back to the moon, I won’t be surprise if the space tourism will extend to the moon. But as things look, we’re a long way from that happening. Only time will tell.

  1. Appreciate the background on the moon landing conspiracy theory. On the one hand, it seems utterly crazy that people wouldn’t believe something backed by scientific and historical evidence and instead believe that our (oft incompetent) government successfully pulled off an elaborate hoax. On the other hand, government often does a poor job of inspiring confidence and trust (eg. NASA losing the data)

    • all around gov’t incompetence and underhanded moves to undermine the public won’t win them any trust…
I believe NASA still have the data but won’t reveal it. But that is another story I may explore.
With constant propaganda you can sway people’s beliefs even if they witness the event. The question is why would they want people to think that the moon landing is a hoax…

  2. It’s really hard to believe that some folk can think it was all an elaborate hoax!

I’m all for any kind of exploration into the unknown – from mountains through underground to space travel and exploration. Space exploration helps us scientifically in lots of ways, from developing new technology which we can use for other things to explaining some of the mysteries of the universe.

I’d personally love to have gone into space but would never have afforded a commercial flight and wouldn’t have been super-healthy enough to make it my job!

    • People really have a hard time thinking that the moon landing was real they think it was all a gov’t conspiracy..
It is only a matter of time when we will extend to the stars..
Its coming soon, but I may be too old to take the trip when it happens

      • I can’t imagine why anyone would think it possible for us to have visited the moon. When I watch things like Star Trek and their view of the 24th century, I fully expect us to reach those sorts of standards and practices with regards to space travel.

          • LOL. I do think though, that the early series of Star Trek and the Next Generation got a lot of stuff very right indeed. I still marvel when I see Data or someone sat with a smart phone/tablet type thing using it – and that was being visualised back in the 60s, 70s and 80s – before any of it came into place. And the communicators are so like flip-open mobile phones – someone visualising that back in the 60s. Incredible foresight!

            • The 1960’s was a remarkable period concepts such as the cyborgs, space travel and lots of science fiction were produce during that time. Even though it bored you when you read science fiction from the 60’s.
Technology are years produced before they hit the consumer market, perhaps some insiders leaked information to the writers of science fiction programming…
