Spirit Box
Paranormal investigators are incorporating a tool during their investigations. The tool is designed to capture the voices of the dead, even having full conversations. This tool is called a “Spirit Box.”
Well, just what is a “Spirit Box?”
Its basically a radio, a modified one, made to rapidly scan multiple radio frequencies repeatedly without stopping. Both Amplitude Modulation (AM) and Frequency Modulation (FM) are scanned.
Now since it is understood that spirits, ghosts communicate on different frequencies, through what is called “White noise.” The “Spirit Box,” detects noises, audio and voices. Once it detects something, the “Spirit Box,” will pause (not stop) on a frequency and capture the incoming messages in the form of whole phases or sentences.
It has been proven through research the “Spirit Box” that sounds other than everyday spoken language can be captured.
The features on a “Spirit Box,” that a standard radio doesn’t have are:
- The ability to record electronic voice phenomenon (EVP)
- Speed scanning of radio channel frequencies
- Slowing down of scanning radio channel frequencies
- Sweep radio channel frequencies in any direction (adjustable)
- Noise cancelling and audio sound filter
- Rechargeable batteries
- Built in flashlight features
- Bluetooth connection (can be used with external speakers)
- USB ports for transfer of data and audio file sharing
- Temperature meters which measures the temperature of your location.
It is simple to operate, all you need to do is go to a location where you wish to communicate with the dead. Turn on the “Spirit Box,” and start to ask questions, or initiate a conversation. See what response you get.
Technology has come a long way, one does not need to have a separate “Spirit Box” device because you can download a “Spirit Box” app to your phone, tablet or laptop. It basically works the same way and has similar features.
Just be aware that your results may vary depending on the type of “Spirit Box” brand you use.

Sounds fascinating! The new ouija board but with audio… and with batteries!
