Let Sleeping Dogs Lie

If you could relive one year of your life, which one would it be?

If I could relive one year of my life is a thought-provoking question. Well, I’m pondering certain events that ended up in failure that if I were to relive that entire year would change the outcome of things. On the other hand, there were certain events that made me so happy that I would love to live the year without changing a thing. The only drawback would be that there would be an end to the good time.

So, which is it? Reliving the set of events that led to your biggest failures, but at critical points changing certain outcomes that led to the failure, turning the failure into success. Or reliving one of the happiest moments in your life without changing anything.

You see, I realized that if I were to relive the years where the biggest failure took place, and changed that failure into success; it would be life changing, and what took place after that year would never have happened. In essence I would be rewriting the entire life’s history from that year.

Now, if I were to relive the entire year that was the happiest, then you know the good time will come to an end. You will get the after feelings of wishing that the good time will continue.

So, I guess, if I could relive an entire year of my life, I will opt not to do it. What happened, happened and the old saying goes “let sleeping dogs lie,” and cherish the memories, or I may even write about key events that took place in my life through stories.
