Stolen Bag
This latest dream took me back to an experience that happened to me back when I was on my high school track team. What happened on that day, I was on a relay and we were slated to compete in the sprint medley, where each leg runs different distances. The first leg runs 400 meters, the 2nd leg run 200 meters, the 3rd leg also run 200 meters and the 4th leg 800 meters.
The location of the track meet was in the Bronx, at the JFK High School sports complex located on the JFK High School campus. It was out door season, on a spring day that was neither cold or hot.
The day was a disaster, first off, the officials decided to prohibit non-varsity runners from running in spikes. At that time, I was not a varsity runner so we had to run the relay race in normal sneakers.
When the race started the first leg was not prepared, I forgot why he wasn’t prepared but it resulted in him being in last place, the other three legs couldn’t recover and we ended up coming in last.
To top that off my bag where I had my clothes and my spikes were stolen. The spikes were brand new Adidas adjustable spikes, it was expensive and I only used them once. My wallet was in my jeans, along with my shirt and jacket. This left me with no money, and the only clothing I had was my running shorts and track suit.
I looked around to see if I can find any trace of my belongings, I only found my jacket dumped behind the bleachers, along with other people’s stolen stuff that the thieves discarded.
My team mates helped me out and gave me some money so that I could pay my transportation fee back home.
The dream picked up when I was searching for my stolen items. I found the people who stole my stuff. We were fighting and I retrieved my stolen bag.
Now I don’t know why my subconscious decided to bring up the event, and change an unfavorable out come into a favorable one. I for what is going on in my life today, the whole thing was irrelevant; or is it?
